Is Therapy Really for Me? - A real client story

I wasn’t sure about seeking mental health support at first. Honestly, I thought therapy was only for people with major issues - but I could see that if I didn't get support, I could be heading down the same path. I realized I was stuck. Work was becoming harder to manage, I felt stressed and low, and things with my partner were growing distant. I was turning to porn and alcohol more than I wanted to, and while it helped me cope, I knew it wasn’t helping me move forward. I just didn’t know what else to do.


Eventually, I decided to give psychotherapy a shot. I figured—what’s the worst that could happen? It turns out, it wasn’t weird or awkward. It was actually quite interesting. Yes, some parts were emotional and tough, but it also felt natural. We talked, I reflected on things, and slowly I started connecting the dots. I could finally see what was happening beneath it all.


Working with Andy provided me with the space I needed to explore my feelings and build a plan. Now, after engaging in stress and anxiety counselling, I feel more clear-headed, confident, and I’m no longer stuck in that same place.
